Great read as always! Although there is one fundamental flaw; you are overlooking the absolute banger that is 'Smile' on the very same Will Powers album. Good luck with the book launch :)
"Is your metric of success your own?" is the question I've been quietly circling for years. Mine for a long time was assembled from other people's expectations in ways I couldn't even name. It was an ambient ambition without a clear origin. Writing has been the thing that slowly replaced all that with something that feels mine genuinely. Five days out from the launch — excited to see this go into the world. The dads who need it will find it.
When I saw the worlds 'Fatherhood' and 'Grappling' in the first three lines and instantly thought that I wrote this article. But than I started to read it and realized I did not:)
