I’m writing this today from the Collserola, the mountain range above Barcelona. I dropped my daughter at school this morning, locked up the bike and went for a walk. And I feel very lucky to be here right now. You don’t have to look hard to find studies that link happiness to gratitude. Being able to be grateful for the things you have will lead you to feel much happier about the life that you are living, and the decisions that you’ve made.
But it can sometimes feel trite—when someone asks you to write down three things you’re grateful for at the end of everyday, it begins to feel like a chore, something you come to avoid, rather than it being a time to reflect on how good things are.
So today I want to ask: what’s one thing that you feel grateful for today?
