This was really encouraging and insightful! I've been practicing allowing regret to shape the way I approach things this year and it's so much more peaceful. Still frustrating at times for sure, but I'm grateful for the growth opportunities.
Love the insights about parenting. As for other life choices, I think it’s possible to grieve what’s been lost even if you don’t have regrets about the decision to leave a place, a job, or a relationship. I wonder if some of the aversion to regret often overlaps with a masculine impulse to suppress grief.
