Well-earned opportunity, Kevin!

Also, that Good Dadvice about Logan is something we had happen with our daughter years ago. I can’t wait to remind her of it when I take her to her first music festival today.

This really resonated. As a full-time father for the past four years, I have struggled with my newfound identity and role, questioned my value to society, and found myself staring at the mirror (much too often) questioning what I do, how I do it, and if I'm unknowingly messing up my child.

I've searched for meaning and answers in various fatherhood reading material. The current literature is at once fractured, directionless, and tone deaf. Books written by fathers who only have complaints about how life has thrusted them into a position of child-rearing, where they no longer have free time and are instead covered in poop. Or books by fathers who are just along for the ride, where children are amusing and provide comedic anecdotes for their writing, and where the mom is clearly the directly responsible person and the MVP of the family.

I have been reading your Substack for the past two month and you are clearly not one of those fathers. I wish you nothing but the best in your writing and fatherhood journey, and I am looking forward to reading your book once it comes out.
