South side of Seattle, WA. Bought a first house, had our first kid, and started a new job in the last year 🥴.
When we're not cleaning up a bodily fluid or repairing the estate, we sometimes watch Love Island UK while I put together Warhammer 40K figurines. Little guy is a pretty good sleeper so after 6:30 or so we generally have the rest of the night to ourselves.
When I have time, I try new recipes on youtube (This salsa is ridiculous https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HE77AS_DnHw) or write on Medium about technology and customer data. I haven't had much time for those lately 😩
This is the first substack I've ever paid for - and I've been enjoying it quite a bit
Sissinghurst in Kent, UK - Dad to two small boys (2.5 and 4). Currently trying to regain some semblance of exercise/healthy eating for myself, whilst the boys are into their bikes, climbing everything, jumping off the things they climbed, and generally taking on everything the world has to offer!
Hi from a small town in Luxembourg! Lately I have started building Gunpla again. I got a set from my wife for Christmas in 2021, and I’m not even halfway yet! I became a father in April, so at least I have a good excuse.
I'm by no means an expert, just a casual enthusiast, but he already associates it with me, and has watched me play live games with his grandpa. I'm pretty relaxed about him playing, if he shows an interest I'll teach him how to play, but won't force it. I think 5he consensus is around 7 or so is a good.age to start.
Hong Kong. Hiking with my two year old daughter most weekends. Otherwise when not stuck in the office, waking up early to sneak in cycling and running, or booking in a fortnightly late one to play guitar in my band.
Melbourne, Australia. Playing trains and cars with my almost 2 year old son. I love to go bouldering when I can, and playing through a backlog of PS4 games with my wife (when we can). Currently we're playing Horizon Zero Dawn II The Forbidden West.
Bangalore, india. Having fun is either finding a eensy bit of time for myself away from my twin girls, or spending a few hours with them till they figure I’m too uncool and a slow learner. LOL.
I’m from La Crosse WI, USA. Known as the coulee region. Love to get out trail running. We try hard to get our 3 kids outside as much as we can hiking, pump track, or whatever to get their energy out. All that in hopes for early bed times and a bit of calm.
In Hackney (East London). I do a lot of cooking, and I'm delighted that Lenny (3.5), has started to show an interest in cooking with me. Currently on the hunt for a piano, as I'm keen to pick it up after a ~20 year break!
We are in the suburbs of Denver, CO (Littleton to be exact) - presently enjoying all things the winter weather allows us to do outside. Midweek I love cooking for the fam (a steady rotation between spaghetti, Mac and cheese, chicken nuggets and pizza), reading books, and playing family games of Mario Kart
We are in Fish Island/Hackney Wick (London). Trying to get back to the gym. I’m also enjoying working on a small blog. And I’ve just got a tiny video camera. I want to try and make some films of quiet walks
By the Adriatic Riviera in Italy. Same as Colin, for family fun we have a fellowship that we regularly meet to let the kids play their own. Not so close friends but my mental health is improved. My first son needs physical activity so, together we go to bouldering gym. Personal I enjoy cycling and workout when I'm not sick, otherwise playing chess is a good option.
Portland, Oregon. Fun looks and feels different for me now than pre-kiddo.
Practicing flow state is fun for me. Nightly, I practice fire-spinning with double staves, albeit often without fire. Equal parts flow, meditation, martial arts, workout.
Writing the substack also.
And I feel lucky that woodworking is also fun for me, because it is also supports the fam.

Washington, DC. Fun is play dates with our toddler and other families, gaming with friends, and sneaking in an occasional workout.

Representing the 3% of Aussies! Spend my early mornings before the kids wake writing comics!
Petaluma, CA (Bay Area) Lots of outdoorsy things - running/cycling/surfing/skiing (ideally with my 3-year old daughter and dog close behind)
