The tension between providing and being present that's the sentence that stopped me.

I run construction projects and I'm writing letters to my two kids (Two and 6 months) for when they're older. Every letter I write, I notice the same tradeoff these films are mapping: the version of me that builds things worth building is often the version of me that's not in the room.

The fact that Hollywood is finally letting fathers be complicated enough to hold both of those truths at once feels like something shifted.
